THE CUMBERLAND is an elegant and supremely comfortable dress (or tunic if you prefer) it has a one piece collar and a back yoke. The flattering centre front slit allows it to slip easily over your head - no pesky zips. It falls from the dropped shoulders with a relaxed fit, the dress to a wide full skirt and the tunic to a graceful mid-thigh length. It has triangular side panels with clever integral pockets. Make either the dress or the tunic with long sleeves or short. The short have chic turned back cuffs. This is very much an ‘all season’ pattern, for winter make the long sleeve dress in a wool crepe and wear for a glamorous evening out or add slouchy cardigan and long boots for day wear. Then make a short sleeve version in linen for summer to wear with sandals. The tunic is just as flexible it looks fabulous in a chambray or linen to wear with jeans in the summer, or for mid season and winter in a cosy brushed cotton. Sorted!
